I really enjoyed this book. The dialect and colloquialisms were difficult to slog through at first, but the imagery was so luscious, I wanted to re-read some passages as soon as I'd finished them. The part toward the end with the hurricane was particularly emotional, and perhaps a little too close to home.

I suppose it could go either way, but if that mysterious actress was "pilot Maryann", I feel like she should have targeted Sookie as a person of interest sooner than she did.

On the other hand, that part of the scene wasn't in the finished pilot, so it's possible that it was Maryann and they just didn't want to introduce the character too soon.

Or maybe they cast that actress at first, then had an opportunity to get Michelle Forbes later, and that's why that part of the scene was cut.

I don't know, but that flashback bit was confusing. Either they were connecting Maryann to that scene or they were foreshadowing the introduction of Claudine into the show.

On the other hand, maybe it was just Sookie's way of remembering a time she felt like someone was watching over her, and that's all it was.

I'm not convinced either. It seems like a total red herring. I think there's a better chance that Hoyt's mom is the culprit, and so far, everyone seems to agree that AB was kidding about that. LOL! ]]>
