I had been really psyched to read this book, because I loved her previous book, Time Traveler's Wife, so much. However, I actively DISliked this one. I didn't enjoy, or understand, the characters, and I really couldn't figure out what the story was all about. The central location -- Highgate Cemetery in London -- was interesting, and I enjoyed learning a little bit about it. However, I didn't find the "ghost" part of this story to be scary or haunting, or moving in any way. While I enjoyed the element of surprise surrounding the big development at the end, it left me feeling very uneasy, and sorry that I had spent so much time with these characters. To tell you the truth, the character I found most interesting was Martin, the man with a severe case of OCD. I would like to see a book about him and his wife. The rest of 'em can go to the birds.
