Of course the series started a little slow for me... I read through the first five chapters, but kept forgetting to go back to the book. That's a sign, usually, that I won't ever finish. However, several friends of mine kept pushing me to keep reading, so I did. When I was done, I almost didn't go on to Book 2, City of Ashes... Don't let that discourage you. After reading CoA and being more than half finished with book 3, City of Glass, I've changed my rating to 4 stars.
