I grew up in a reading, book-hoarding family, so when my friend Leslie invited me to goodreads it was a natural fit. I've been slow to allow much time for GR, had to let go of a few writing workshops first. I'm jazzed about remembering books read years ago. It's a challenge to remember the year at times, but it seems to reactivate that portion of my memory and helps me see the course of reading influences I've experienced. Don't ask me to write a review on them though - that would require a re-reading! Participation in Goodreads also makes me mindful of all the great books I've left off, and want to pick up soon!
