It's good, but nothing extraordinary - an atypical girl meets boy, meets another boy, that boy meets another girl, first girl meets the first boy again, all suffer yet end up pretty well off, except for the bitchy girl tale.

It's been over 14 years since I first read Ender's Game. I don't know how it took me this long to finish the original Ender Quartet, but it's done now. This was supposed to have all been included in the third book, but the story got bigger than one novel could hold. Here, we finally see the death of Andrew Wiggin, after 3000 years of life... as well as his, what, reincarnation as his brother? This book is complex and very sci-fi. I enjoyed the Ender's Shadow / Bean series more than this original quartet. I find humanity intriguing enough to explore on its own without the inclusion of two other sentient species.

The Martians themselves are marginalized much as the Native Americans were. This is much more a study of Humanity as opposed to true Martian living.
