I read this book mostly in one sitting - which unfortunately began around 10pm. The tale of his accident and "death" and the miraculous (not a word I throw around very often) events that brought him back to life - not to mention his account of what he believes was Heaven - are not to be missed by anyone. The book as a whole is not well written and drags on after the climax (which comes in the first few chapters).
The fact that he is a Southern Baptist preacher lends credibility to his account in my mind - there's not a lot of coming back from the dead in Southern Baptist theology. I'm left both awestruck and questioning, though the final chapter helped me to see how he makes sense of it all.
I'd be interested in hearing what others thought of this book and his account.
