Dana Dana said: "Snow won the 2006 Nobel Prize for literature, and while I enjoyed it quite a lot, I didn't think it was that good. The book attempts to achieve that sustained level of absurdist tragi-comedy I love so much, but never quite gets there. ...more "

125228 I find it quite amusing that you're pictured reading my least favorite King short story. And by 'least favorite,' I mean that it annoys me so greatly that I literally cringe at the slightest mention of it.

And yes, regarding your statement:

"Crap. I got it into my head that some light summer reading would do me good. Little change of pace. Well, I've cured myself of that notion."

I find myself feeling very much the same. Laurell K. Hamilton? Laura Lippman? Please. Excuse me while I go browse my shelves for something worthy of those last few minutes before sleep. I give up on trash fiction.
