I picked this up for a plane trip because I love short stories and Matheson is a masterful, spare writer who can really weave a weird tale. How they are turning the 10 page story originally called "Button, Button" into a full-length movie is beyond me.

The plot is quite a labyrinth, and characters are all too human. I was a bit disappointed that the two main characters ended up in bed, but overall, it was quite a thriller. I'll read the second one as soon as I get my hands on it.

I'm looking for a copy of Rand's "The Return of the Primitive," but haven't run across one yet. This book contains an excerpt of it and other writings.

I think I like her fiction more than the straight philosophy or essays. Her ideas about individualism and self-sufficiency strike a chord with me.

This book is quirky and fun, but it runs off the rails about mid-way through. A good editor would have helped. I love Feig's autobiographical stuff, though. I just couldn't finish it.

I started this book twice, but had to return it to the library before we moved. I hope to find a copy down here and pick up where I left off. It's a bit tough to read--as its prose is much like cummings poetry, with minimal structure and punctuation.

This was a tome--in a good way. Lots of twists and turns, but most of all an insight into Dickens last years. It also gives one a better look at Wilkie Collins, an innovator of the crime novel.
