Who doesn't like junk food now and then?

Upon finishing:

I'll keep this short. I'm sure there are a thousand-and-one reviews (complaints) for this book, and my ranting isn't going to illuminate anything that hasn't already been commented upon.

Mr. Brown, my major, singular complaint is that you would do well to employ a bit of subtlety. Not every allusion, every metaphor needs to be spoonfed to the reader. I know you're writing to the masses, but give your readers some credit. Most of us, I'm sure, are well read enough to seize upon a biblical allusion, know it's relevance, are familiar with its backstory, that we don't need a chapter devoted to its meaning being force fed.
