"His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation. All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: 'What have you done?'"
(Nebuchadnezzar's confession Dan 4:22ff.)

Ron Paul's, "End the FED" serves as a grand demonstration of God's providence ordering all things that come to pass. He does not state this in the book. However, in it, the truth is exposed about how the U.S. monetary system has morphed into little more than a house of cards ready to collapse at any moment. Sin and corruption have led the way.

In a couple of places, Scripture is used to demonstrate the wickedness of the actions of the Federal Reserve and what happened in Biblical times when money became worthless. The Scripture is used correctly--something often not the case when politicians use it. In fact, I don't recall ever hearing or reading what any other politician wrote or said who used the Scripture correctly.

Ron Paul traces the history of this fraud, demonstrates how such systems have always collapsed before its creation in the U.S. in 1913, and points out who it is that suffers under the corruption--the poor and middle class.

He then draws out how it is the FED can be abolished and sound money established once again according to the Constitution (that thing that all individuals serving in the three branches of government are sworn to uphold).

This book is worth the time reading it.

Written in haste,

Ron C.

Christopher Love was illegitimately accused and sentenced to death by the corrupt government of England in 1651.

He was a Presbyterian Preacher of the highest standard. In this book are accounts of his life and death. Some in his own words and some of the words of others.

The full detailed account of Love's walk to the scaffold where his head would be dismembered from his body are given. His wife, pregnant with their third child that would be born only days after his execution, was prepared by her husband to carry on after this gross injustice.

In it, the reader will gain great insight into dying under the hand of tyranny. Love claims to be a man, like all men, who knows he will die. But unlike most men, Love claimed that he knew not only when he would die, but how he would die.

Through it all, the grace of God prepared him to depart and be with Him while preparing his wife for the horror she would face in his death.

Thomas Manton, who accompanied Love to the Scaffold was another minister, a good friend of Love's, who would deliver the sermon at Love's funeral--something that almost cost him his own trouble.

It is a sermon well worth reading.

The book also cites Love's words in how he dealt with a government that he did not support. Humility sums it up.

In days and times like those in the U.S., this book may very well serve as a means of preparing other Christians to meet similar fates as the government increasingly becomes anti-Christ.

This book was outstanding.

I found this book an excellent read. With much revisionist history out there--particularly concerning the "Civil War," this book is a refreshing read. The author demonstrates from the life of Robert E. Lee, a profound example of Christian leadership. He takes Lee's exemplary leadership and then applies them to business today. The principles can be applied by young and old alike, at home, Church and other areas as well. Lee's understanding of grace of God, the Bible, original sin and the sovereignty of God in all things is mind boggling. His focus is always realistic (something not known in politics or most institutions of higher education today) and finding the best in every event. This is done against the backdrop of other leadership styles seen in his lieutenants and that of the Union leaders and army. I recommend it for anyone and everyone.

I consider this a must read for the Christian warrior bent on engaging in the cosmic battle as he presses on toward the goal of which he has been called heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Years ago, I was turned off by the mention of John Calvin. The reason was simple: I evaluated the man by the behavior of those who pushed "his" doctrine on others. Sadly, I now realize I missed out on some of the greatest teaching the world has ever known--teaching that has to this day, influenced the direction of the world.

In this book, one gets a glimpse into the pastoral heart of John Calvin. Although one of the greatest academics in history, he speaks to the man who has to deal with every day spiritual battles--battles that take place in the work place, societies and nations.

Although his words can be understood by the janitor, the depths of this rich truth from Scripture has equal the power for the intellectual elite. In fact, he does not hold back when it comes to exposing just who it is that oppresses God's people, i.e. the rich. He also lets those without the power, that is the poor, know that their hearts too are equally as wicked only they just don't have the means to carry out the oppression as do the rich.

In unwavering proof from Scripture, Calvin pulls apart human nature and explains its outworking in everyday life.

There is a major difference between the thoughts of men that are little more than devices of deception that are many. Compared to the thoughts of God that are called His counsel which is on purpose, regular, uniform and unchangeable, the counsel of man that comes from a heart that is deceitful above all things is nothing to trust.

As an English pastor living in the 17th century, John Shower draws out from the only standard by which all teaching concerning the Triune God is to be measured--the Word of God.

There is nothing added by way of novelty type stories where God is pictured as something other than what He tells us He is in His Word.

When it comes to God's Thoughts, Shower opens up the mind of God from Scripture, demonstrates the folly of men, and brings forth the reality that God's thoughts different infinitely from finite man when it comes to His pardoning mercy.

This book is 125 pages of clear Biblical teaching that compares and contrasts God's thoughts with that of man's, and applies this truth in various events in the life of the believer.

There is nothing like truth that comes from Scripture in such a gracious way as this.

Freedom from Tyranny of the Urgent is an excellent read in an age of endless activity. Charles Hummel opens up the Scriptures by demonstrating from the life of Christ, how it is the Christian should examine the events of life one encounters with a discerning eye to the Lord's will according to the precepts and principles found in His Word.

Christ, being without sin as the Man on a mission; as a Conqueror on a conquest to do only what His Father sent Him to do, sets the perfect example of taking on the many distractions in life that would otherwise deter Him from the pursuit of the perfect heaven-bound goal.

For the Christian, there is no greater challenge in life but to press on toward the goal for which he has been called heavenward in Christ Jesus, making the most of every opportunity.

This book is a refreshing read for time management adjustment according to the Word of God. In the process, it employs sound principles of interpretation--a collateral benefit.

Bitterness can destroy a person--especially if they have been the target of manipulation. With the current events in national politics, the one who has studied the Constitutional documents and read original sources written by the men who lived and contributed to the founding of the country, it is easy to fall into a state of despair and bitterness. This booklet is a grand aid to imparting Biblical understanding of this sin and how to guard against it, overcome it and press on toward the heavenly goal in Christ Jesus.
