Loved Therapy and Me. But book seemed to straddle thoughtful essays/celeb memoir - the latter of which I'm not interested in really. I love Girls. It would be very hard to write an excellent book and run a great TV show all in one year.

This is a great book. I love how Patchett decided to write a book based on an actual event, wrote a story that is totally improbable, but also feels utterly real as you read it because it is truthful about our common humanity.

This is an incredible ensemble piece that shows how senseless violence and injustice can ripple through a community. The oppressed become the perpetrators, both consciously and unconsciously.
