This was my new book club's second read. Again, we didn't like the lead character, but I personally thought this book was very well written. The author is an instructor at Cal State Long Beach University, and she lives in Long Beach. The book was set in Long Beach and Seal Beach, so if you're from Orange County, it's wonderfully familiar.
