After reading a few other reviews, I'm glad I was able to listen to the books rather than read them. This way I failed to notice all the typos! For a middle book, this one was still able to keep the fast pace going and the story alive. Overall, the story is still enjoyable and I'm sure I'll devour the third book as quickly as I devoured the first two.

At one point in the book, I wondered how she was going to be able to wrap up the story lines, but by the last act I was wondering how many endings the book was going to have (Return of the King popped into mind several times).

Some stories lines were added that I liked, others were added for shock value but didn't seem to add anything to the book, but the pace kept me listening. It may have had a predictable ending, but I still enjoyed the books.

It's been a long time since I've read a suspense, and this one was enjoyable. Despite the length of the book, I tore through it quite quickly and even stayed up too late listening. The author and the narrator do a wonderful job of bringing you into the story and making the characters believable even though the plot was fantastical. The four main characters, girls at a boarding/ finishing school in Victorian England exist also in today's world in high school. I was slightly disappointed at how quickly I was able to see through the "mystery" in the book, but overall it was still enjoyable.

As an Audrey Hepburn fan, I've seen this movie many times, more specifically within the last two months. I went to the library looking for the Twilight series, but alas, all the English copies were sold out, so I had to settle for looking through the books until I found something I wanted to read. I found Breakfast at Tiffany's. I've wanted to read the book since I learned it was written by Truman Capote (I learned this fact an embarrassingly short time ago).

I was not disappointed by the book. Holly is a blonde, but Audrey Hepburn still manages to capture her in looks and spirit. But what's remarkable to me is how short the book is and still the movie left out important bits. Most of all, I like how the book ended, even though the first page of the book lets you know it will not have the same ending as the movie. Hollywood endings are enjoyable for movies, but don't quite have the same impact in books (see Memoirs of a Geisha).

My first thoughts were along the lines of, "Oh come on Mia, how can you be so blind?!" And then I thought about high school. And how blind I was to the motivations of guys. Mia truly is a sixteen year old, though I am having trouble with the lack of growth in the romance department from this character. You'd think two years in a relationship would give a girl some confidence in that relationship. But apparently not.
