This was a hard one (emotionally) to read. It quite honestly depicts the Vietnam war and its effects on the young soldiers. The malice, manipulation, secrets and cruelty that can be a part of the high school experience is concentrated here in a page-turning narrative. Rob is new and an instant hit with everyone--charming, good-looking, sensitive, fun...a real people person.
