i'm sure you're right that the books are better than the movies. i've even contemplated reading one, but i'm just not that into romances. totally different that you were in high school though. besides, i wouldn't think less of you as a person - even if you read them religiously now - i just wouldn't personally understand it...
by the way, kim, if you hadn't defended yourself on the nicholas sparks thing, i would have had to make fun of you. though i've never read him, i seriously hated the movie the notebook. and a walk to remember.
