    			  This man makes me laugh out loud. The questions before each of the stories in the second section of the book were absolutely hilarious. They were like twisted long versions of the questions in the Book of Questions. I find his ramblings on Britney Spears and Radiohead very entertaining. His conversational writing style is appealing to me. I liked the last story, a fictional piece, the least of all mainly because the main character was so entirely pathetic.
<br/>

    			  As previous reviews have stated this book is a real mixed bag. Some of the stories are so postively dull that I skip them (not my usual deal). There are definitely some real gems in here though such as Chuck Klosterman's story about seeing Prince in Fargo. priceless!

    			  I literally could not put this book down. I read it all in one sitting, something I haven't done with a book this size in a long time. I only knew it was story about Hurrican Katrina but it's so much more than that and most devastating of all is that the story is true. The Zeitouns are a real family and their story is powerful. I don't want to give anything away but the book pulls you along until it's 1:30 in the morning and you've read the last page and almost feel like throwing up, disturbed by the story I just devoured. It's hard for me to say that I love a book with such a difficult subject matter but I do and I whole heartedly recommend it. this is real.

    			  a riveting book by a Rolling Stone journalist embedded with a platoon of Recon Marines (akin to Navy Seals or Army Rangers) as the invasion of Iraq begins. The good, the bad and the ugly is all there. The humanity and the inhumanity of soldiers is described. The story pulls you along until you realize you just read 100 pages. a very fast read with a crazy perspective on the war as it unfolded

    			  a beautiful little book based on the incredible true story of a Chinese woman searching for her husband in Tibet. It will make your heart soar, it will make your heart break, it will give you lots of insight about Tibet. The life and love and loyalty are intense and unforgettable.

    			  I can't believe I waited this long to read this book! Of course I've seen the movie a zillion times and that made it a bit strange because in my mind all the characters in the book were the actors from the movie. William Goldman is hilarious and charming and intelligent. read this book!

    			  the focus is more on the life of an emergency responder than getting to know the individuals in his small wisconsin town. It was charming and interesting though I'm occassionally taken aback by some of his word choices...plangent?!?
