If it was possible to give a negative star, this book would receive one. Words cannot express the loathing I reserve for people who not only espouse the idea that wealth is a virtue given by God, but sustain such falacies. The overly familiar speaking style and the word play, examples of which include modifying Self help to Shelf help, are cloying rather than clever. ]]>

Considering the somewhat erudite subject, I found the style easy and pleasant. Thouroughly enjoyed this, but I question its factuality, the last two chapters greatly reminded me of a Sherlock Holmes tale "The Final Problem" published in 1893, which makes it even more dubious. ]]>
I enjoyed the set up and premise, but found that the conclusion was very disappointing as if the author tired of the project, or felt it too uncomfortable/cumbersome to continue. ]]>

I thought this was a really clever book along the same lines as Gregory McGuire. New perspectives on older classic tales. Each of the Chapters is a short story so it is an easy one to read while at work. (Way to go Heidster-I want a job like that) I read them just before bed to unwind and am happy to report that no nightmares were had. Take note those of you with small children. ]]>
