<about>I'm a person of obsessions: I find a new interest and I throw myself into it completely, then after a while, I find a new obsession and go with that for a while. I could be seen as random and inconsistent, or just a person who likes discovering new things. I prefer the latter categorization, if a category is needed. One thing that has never waned is my love of books and reading. I am addicted to words and the mystery of how they can be put together to create new expression and meaning--to create an entirely new way of seeing or feeling a thing.
My family matters to me far more than anything else--my children and grandchildren. They make life the most meaningful and interesting. </about>

Hey! I'm reading this right now--for the sixth time. I love it more every time I read it--the planning, the subtleties, the often beautiful language without being showy--if you know what I mean. His brand new one, Ender in Exile, just came out and I wanted to read this again before I read the new one. I'll likely end up reading all the way through Speaker For The Dead, too, which is one of his best novels. He has so many. And I guess, if you're a genius of the geniuses, maybe you really would talk as they do; Card is remarkably brilliant, and I think he has some experience with how really, really bright kids talk.

Mostly, this book never gets old for me. The story, the human conflicts, the emotional wrestling that goes on is timeless. It's what Card does best.
