Being an avid knitter myself, I really appreciated how the book expressed the therapeutic aspects of doing work with your hands. Each of the ladies had a different need for their yarn therapy, but the results were the same. I think in this age we have lost the value of these repetitive motion tasks that used to be daily survival chore for our ancestors. Weaving, knitting, spinning, needle work, all tasks that not only employ these repetitive motions that are so soothing, but also encouraged women to gather together to converse while working. I can't believe how refreshed I feel after just an hour or 2 a month meeting with my book group. I liked the conclusion to this series, a little too much tying up at the end, but it sufficed. I hate it when you get to the end of a long series and it requires half a book to tie up all the loose ends after the major story has climaxed.
