I just love the Peter Grant series. A fun and thoroughly gripping police-detective story taking place in one of the most wonderfully evocative descriptions of London that I've ever read. Oh, and there's magic. Obviously.

After a really poor start this novel definitely improved and moved along quickly whilst keeping me pretty gripped. However, the writing style felt really simplistic and historically certain things struck me as off. But, overall, definitely a decent a...more
