As much as I love the PPK, the main course recipes in this cookbook are not exactly ideal for someone who doesn't have a lot of time or a big budget. The different tofu marinades and crusts alone call for way more ingredients and time than I can afford. The few main courses I have tried are good, though (albeit rich). My favorite is the green curry (although I use curry paste from the store). The highlight of the book are the baked goods. I am not much of a baker, but I have tried a number of the pie and brownie recipes in this book, and Isa definitely knows how to make a decadent dessert. This is usually an area that vegan cookbooks stumble over so that section alone makes this cookbook a worthwhile purchase. It is a good book for special occasions, but you'll have to go elsewhere for quick, easy weeknight meals....less
