Yeah, I know, it isn't strictly over until 2010, but I'm seeing lots of reviewers getting their Best Of The Decade lists ready. Anyone care to share their lists?

Dude, you know how it is when you catch a glimpse of a car wreck -- you just have to keep watching!

And I've never been a big fan of the original anyway, which I find watchable only when Rosalind Russell isn't onscreen.

 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Philip, don't miss the Fredric March version. It really really kicks ass. Move it to the top of your MUST SEE NOW list.

There was the glorious episode showing the League Of Super-Rodents, which featured the villainous Madame Marsupial. There were pouch jokes that can only barely have made it past the censors.

The entire show played great comic games with the whole idea of superheroes and supervillains, hilariously demolishing them to such an extent that I find it hard now to take the Superhero Movie genre at all seriously.

I like Nicolas Cage a lot. I haven't seen any of his work in years as he isn't making movies I'd particularly want to see, but nothing can dim his work in RAISING ARIZONA or LEAVING LAS VEGAS for me. Even that unfortunate thing about the angels in Los Angeles had moments of real Cage fun.

Gilliam, man. What can I say? There's only one Gilliam film that I really disliked on sight -- THE BROTHERS GRIMM, and even that had moments. It also features the one performance from Heath Ledger that really just plain flat out sucks. I don't see that the stories in his films suffer, there are only two that I know of that really have story issues: FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS and TIDELAND, two films without much in the way of a plot and also two of the most monstrously underrated films of the last 20 years. Just a matter of temperament, I guess. I'll certainly take Gilliam over Eastwood any day.
