A "chic" book...kind of like a good "made for tv" movie. Don't we all need one of these occasionally? Learning not only to live with your life choices but truly to cherish your experiences, this novel takes you on a touching journey thru family. Anne Tyler gives you a character to root for as she examines her desires for recognition and respect. Definately a good read for the 50 something woman coming to terms with the paths of her life....less

Some may find this self-indulgent but remember the age of the young man and it may just make sense. "If youth only knew and age only could"...less
