I tend to shy away from this genre, "here be dragons" type of stuff. The fact that Tristran was riding a unicorn on the front cover made me think twice, but I'm so glad I got over myself and gave it a shot. I haven't read much Gaiman, probably because I do shy away from unicorns like I said, but he is such a clever and articulate writer I really can't help myself. He leaves the reader little doubt that falling stars are pretty girls, or that being turned into a billy goat is a travel hazard. The story tends to run on the predictable side, but you wouldn't want it to end any other way.
