There's a lot of UF out there these days, and a lot of it is just kind of mediocre. (I should know; I read a LOT of UF.) This isn't one of those. As a matter of fact, it's pretty fantastic.

If the next two in the series were out already, I'd be at my bookstore snatching them up right this minute; but since they aren't, I'll have to settle for re-reading it.
