There are many many excellent reviews of this book on goodreads, so will not repeat the many great points you all have made. However, I really enjoyed reading this book and did not feel that the descriptions were overwhelming, unlike many other readers. The only negative thing I have to say about the book is that the ending left me feeling empty, by which I mean that I felt " is that it? Is that all there is to the ending?"
