My first "real" job was 7 years working in the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library (Eagle Branch, GO EAGLETS!), where I met some of the best friends I've ever had. I also worked for a year in the Anoka County system after moving to Minnesota, before following my "other" love, and have now been in veterinary hospital administration for 10 years. I read a bit of everything fiction. I seldom read non-fiction, even if the topic fascinates me. I read mysteries, techno-thriller, horror, vampire/werewolf/occult, fantasy, humor, chick-lit, nearly everything but hard core sci fi or the intense contemporary "life crisis/epic" stuff. Life is hard enough, so I don't need my guts wrenched out by someone else's fictitious agony. Mainly, outside books, my life revolves around my dogs (three big beautiful boys) and husband of 26 years, and writing.
