Throughout the entire book, you're learning so much more about a way of life, about being that water as it flows over everything and perseveres, about just being happy in life no matter what. It's a theme you get in the movie for sure as the story unfolds an...more...

I liked the movie. It was beautifully done. The shots of Hogwarts were stunning and the color grows darker as the novels done. Casting choices were genius as well. My only qualms lie with Dobby and Cho and Firenze. First, I understand they needed something to "demonize" Cho and explain the breakup. I suppose introducing another character would have been time consuming. It's just frustrating because it wasn't Cho who betrayed the group but her friend. Second, I get the way Neville is growing in courage, strength, character. This will be important when movie 7 comes out. However, by attributing the Room of Requirement discovery to Neville, they've misappropriated the credit and diminished the importance of Dobby. I'm sure this will be rectified with the upcoming movies and we will be re-introduced to the character but I just don't see why he couldn't be a constant fixture. As for Firenze, I would have liked to have seen him take the class over from (blanking on the name) Astrology teacher but I suppose that exclusion I can accept because they adequately covered the animosity of the centaurs. Anyway, those were my only points of annoyance. Still, I have faith. I have been entertained each and every time and have felt the "spirit" of the book in each. Can't wait for the next. That's probably when I'll attempt a reread of book 6 only. Next year, before the final movie comes out, I'll reread all. And then maybe before the trip to Florida! Anyone else ecstatic about this trip to Harry Potter Land!?!
