I forgot I had this book. I read it years ago and loved it. Felt like I was smacked in the medieval era. Only problem: I have not yet read the series for this book.

Edit 2 December 2014: 3.5 stars! Bumping my rating to 4.5 stars!

I think we can all agree that Sarah J. Maas is a damned good writer and a fantastic entertainer. Assassin's Blade is one of my all time favourite book, and I have a very few of those.

"If I stay. If I live. It’s up to me."

Giving this a two star rating genuinely hurts me. I adore Forman's writing, especially with Just One Day, she did an excellent job with the showing of the setting in Paris and even for that one chapter in the UK.

Well, damn. Sins & Needles was a deliciously dark read.

I always complain about living in this era. I've always wanted to live either in the Roaring '20s or back in the Medieval Times (and I'm well aware of the struggles in those days, too). I co

“Readers have the right to say whatever the fuck they want about a book. Period. They have that right. If they hate the book because the MC says the word “delicious” and the reader believes it’s the Devil’s word and only evil people use it, they can shout from the rooftops “This book is shit and don’t read it” if they want. If they want to write a review entirely about how much they hate the cover, they can if they want. If they want to make their review all about how their dog Foot Foot especially loved to pee on that particular book, they can."

[Blog entry, January 9, 2012]”
