Too many things wrong with this book to fit into a 20000 character space. Just the highlights then:
The author tells us the main characters are 21 years old, but then draws the characters to be, on average, 6. Sometimes older, mostly younger, but never 21. If they are 21, then they are severely mentally retarded and everyone else in the story is playing along with them, pretending not to notice how pea-sized their brains are.
The episodic nature of the book doesn't work at all for this story, as it did in the Time Travel one. Some of the chapters have no seeming point at all - they do not advance the story, establish characterization, play with words in a pleasing manner. Just damn boring. This really should have been a short story.
Near sighted means can see things close up. Don't hinge a plot point on this and get it wrong.
The big mystery wasn't surprising and the characters didn't do anything with it. It was revealed, then the book kept going for millions of pages, but nothing changed. I slogged through thinking that the big surprise would have a big payoff.
