Life is good and this past year has been extraordinary for me. It began with a major high--Amber Quill Press released the second of my House of Pendragon series, The Recruit on January 1st. The novel has so far earned several excellent reviews and two major award nominations--the 2007 Indie Excellence Book award for the electronic edition and the 2007 USA BookNews award for historical fiction. The Recruit was also selected as a featured book in the Holiday Author Fair hosted by the Indiana Historical Society. I was so proud to sit amidst all those other writers that Saturday afternoon.
