This isn't the sort of thing one can enjoy, exactly. More like read in horrified fascination, unable to turn away and yet absolutely, thoroughly appalled by what one is seeing.

The story, based as it is on a true event, overwhelms any consideration of the play on its own merits. It's just plain disturbing, hair-on-the-back-of-your-neck-quivering freaky. However, I will say that Forster has done her best to recapture the pure horror of the murder, and certainly succeeds in creating vibrant characters even in this somewhat limited medium. Wow. Just, wow. What can I say? I absolutely loved it. The characters were beautifully drawn, the writing style lyrical without being too abstracted to hold onto. My only complaint is that I feel the ending of both storylines could have used a little more closure.
