2. The children go to stay with their Uncle Monty, and expert in snakes, who also has a library of knowledge.
3. Aunt Josephine takes the children under her wing, who lost all confidence after her husband was murderered.
4. The children are forced to work at a lumbermill.
5. The children move to a boarding school where they meet another set of triplets.
6. The children stay with their loving relations, Jerome and Esme, but something is not quite right...
7. The children are adopted by V.F.D.
8. The children chase Count Olaf to a half-built hospital, where they find another library.
9. Count Olaf's troupe moves to the carnival, in order to ask for help in finding the Baudelaires.
