<about>
I am Ariel Meadow Stallings, and yes, that is my real name. I'm a writer mostly, but I'm also a media commentator, community mobilizer, online obsessive, comedy event organizer, profanity spitter, wife, dog owner, only child, and 30-something weirdo.

I'm a 2001 graduate of the Columbia University's Publishing Course, but I've been a writer for about a decade. During that time I've edited rave magazines, written about movie stars, and been paid to review ear and nose hair trimmers. I'm a lazy journalist when I have the opportunity, a marketing writer when I need to pay the bills, and a blogger almost always.

I'm also now an author. My first book, Offbeat Bride, came out in 2007. Check out the website at http://www.offbeatbride.com</about>
