Thanks for being my goodreads friend. I joined your YA book group and must say that it is a well oiled machine. Great job :)
Okay, now that we're properly friended, I just wanted to say that I think you rock for using Dr. Zoidberg.
I want to apologize for the all the recommendations from me today. I wanted to share the Stoker Award news, and I only pressed the send button once--I'm not sure what happened to create so many messages. Some weird glitch.
Argh...this is terrible...
Again, I'm very sorry.

I thought I'd let you know that my novel “Vacation” has been nominated for the best Horror Novel for 2007 in the Preditors & Editors Readers' Poll.
In case you'd like to do me the honor of voting, here’s the website:

Here’s wishing you a nifty New Year filled with noiseless noses, neato nicknames, noble Nebraskans, gnarly narcoleptic nebulas, and novel novels about nut-eating narwhals and novercaphobic gnats.
-Jeremy :)
P.S.—I’m currently offering autographed/personally-inscribed copies of my novel, Vacation, with free shipping for those in the US. If there’s anything you could do to help me spread the word about this, I’d really appreciate it. Feel free to click here for details:

Great! I'm looking forward to your feedback, Nick.
Here’s wishing you a yippee-filled Yuletime overflowing with yard-long yams, yapping yoyo-yanking yetis, yak-milk yeast-cakes, and yellow yarn-yielding year-end yard-gnomes.
-Jeremy :)
Ender rocks. I believe you will enjoy it. I tried Clockwork Orange and couldn't get interested. In my mind it is a book I'll need to put aside until I can focus exclusively. I'm looking forward to January's reading of Slaughterhouse-Five in the Sci-fi and Fantasy group; I can't wait to discuss it. I'll have to take a look at God of Small Things. I'll probably pick up Vacation in January so I'll be sure to let you know!
Nick
Thanks for the feedback, Nick! Maybe the papier mache Smurfs be with you.
Awesome list--thanks for sharing it. You know, I haven't read Ender's Game yet, but I'm definitely going to now.
Right now, I think my favorites are The God of Small Things, A Clockwork Orange, and Slaughterhouse-Five. They've all inspired me in various ways.
By the way, if you end up checking out "Vacation" at some point, I'd loved to hear what you think.
Happytimes,
Jeremy :)
Wow, very good question. I've read quite a few (still remembering all of them!) so I'll need to think about it. I can narrow it down, however, these books:
Ender's Game - Probably the only novel that I bought and read in one day based on a suggestion from a friend. Card is the only author I have ever had this experience with because I read three of his other books: Memory of Earth, Call of Earth and Ships of Earth in four days.
A Wizard of Earthsea - A deceptively simple book
The Stand - I think Stephen King does a great job of writing a modern epic
The Tomb - Repairman Jack is one of my favorite characters in fiction today.
If I had to pick from all of these I would probably rank the above as I have them ranked. I have always looked back fondly on reading Ender's Game but the rest of the series is lacking. Likewise, I have so far enjoyed the Repairman Jack series as a whole but any by themselves are not strong enough to overcome Ender or the others listed here.
So, my favorite of all time thus far is Ender's Game. I read it in my sophomore year of high school, 93 I think, and have looked back fondly ever since. What an ending!
What is your favorite novel of all time?
Hi Nick!
If you don't mind sharing--I was wondering, what's your favorite novel of all time?
Here’s wishing you a fantastic day filled with fabulous friendships, fanciful festivities, and frolicking phantom footstools.
