My favorite chapter was 12 ("How to Shut up"), which I think is perfect. I bookmarked it and showed it to everyone I saw while the book was in the living room.

Misty-eyed over this awesome Survivors series coming to a close. Bravo, Mary! This was quite an ending.

George went from being what a man I imagined to be a portly, silver-haired older man (in the first book) to a 47-year-old hottie duke in this one,

I loved both characters, the humor and spirit of this book. I love Eloisa overall ;. So when it occurred to me in the third quarter of the book that the plot that had fueled the first half had resolved in two of my least favorite ways (view spoiler) ...more

Sarah Addison Allen, First Frost

Robert Galbraith
“No milk, gone out for breakfast, then to Hamleys, want to beat crowds. PS Know who killed Quine.”
Robert Galbraith, The Silkworm

Katharine Ashe
“A girl silly enough to leave her private thoughts displayed so blatantly in a plain notebook tucked snugly in the back of an undistinguished piece of furniture in the corner of an out-of-the-way parlor frequented only by her closest female companions deserved to have her privacy invaded. He continued to invade.”
Katharine Ashe, Kisses, She Wrote

Elizabeth Hoyt
“Séraphine, Séraphine, Séraphine. Will you drive me mad? Scatter my wits to the wind like so much chaff? Leave me a shell of a man, broken, hollowed of brain and soul, left with merely a throbbing prick like a mindless goat? Have mercy, I plead, O siren of chatelaines and unlovely bonnets! Let my famished mouth feast upon thy sweet, sweet flesh. I am awash in yearning spunk.”
Elizabeth Hoyt, Duke of Sin

Robert Galbraith
“My fees are negotiable,’ said Strike, ‘if I like the client.’ He followed Leonora Quine into his office and closed the door behind him with a snap.”
