Much better than the first in the series. Bianca's first person narrative is now more reliable and I was really drawn into the love triangle aspect of it. It has scenes that are a bit more mature and I liked that certain characters were played up. I thought the ghost story line was good, at least it wasn't completely predictable for me. I was hoping to find out more secrets, but I know that there are two more books lined up. For me Lucas is annoying. I want Bianca to end up with Balthazar already.
