At dinner tonight I ran into a couple that go to the church I used to attend. They were saying that the music pastor left to go to San Diego, where he is going to mentor the music pastor at a church there. They kept talking about how he was going to mentor this guy. Ah, so you're a bit of a collector (hardbound, looks pretty, feels nice). I'm not as concerned with appearance as I am with content. I just want good books on my shelf. I do tend to give books away after I read them, though, only keeping the ones I really loved. But I keep more and more as time goes on. I have to fill up those shelves!

Yes, I was just in Portland and went to Powells for the first time. It was an incredible bookstore. The most amazing one I've ever been in. Though, I do love used bookstores. The cute, unassuming ones tucked away from the street.

My bookshelves are nearly full, but they are not this impressive. None of them match, actually. My dream is to build floor-to-ceiling bookshelves (with a step stool for me to reach the top shelves!). With a comfy couch. My own private library...
