Ooh! That movie is on my Netflix queue even as we type.:) The only one of her films I've seen so far is L'Eclisse, which I rented for the Alain Delon factor and ended up loving primarily due to her.
Nice to meet you too! I'd love to hear what you think of Their Eyes Were Watching God, it's one of my favorites!:)
sure..I'm always down to read something with you. Of the starred items in my notebook, I believe you've already read Jakob Von Gunten..that leaves Their Eyes Were Watching God, American Pastoral, and a couple Faulkner selections...I would lean towards a Faulkner, but I'm also up for some new suggestions from you...
ALSO. Are you reading Dream Life of Sukhanov with me? I'm not even a 100 pages in yet, so it's not too late...
If not, we should pick something mutual out soon.
I hadn't really thought about it...I do like carrying around my ridiculously long list of "books to read sometime in the future" in my notebook. I also don't usually know what I'm reading next until I'm nearly done with the current selection. I think on some level, I don't keep a "to-read" list, because I like to maintain some level of suspense for anyone who may be paying attention...
don't think of it as being overthrown...I'm just starting a new fiefdom...especially since ours has been out of commission for a few months anyway
Nora, or Not: I did the 'compare books" feature and I like what I see! also, apparently, our tastes (based on 4 books) are 100% similar. You've got many books on your shelves I need to add to mine as I've read them and love them. Also, am pleased to see you're not shy with the 5-star feature as I am not either and I sometimes feel terribly overly-enthusiastic... because of it. thanks for the add.
