I just don't get all of this pointless drabble. Authors trying so hard to be obscure and inanimate their "stories" have no story. Just pointless narration.

I found Kundera more effective as a music critic than anything else. Instead of these characters moving you to care about their lives, they come across as a cacophy of individual narcissisms. A real let down.
