Of course you already know that I must disagree with you, but I did want to say that I think the central characters are pretty well developed.

I also wanted to note that part of what I love about this book is its outrageous plot. It's so refreshing to read a book that is startling and thought-provoking instead of the same old boring stuff. And as horrendous as the whole idea is, similar atrocities have occurred and continue to occur around the world.
