"I'm starting to find this book really daunting despite how I love it. When you've balked at finishing a book for so long it seems more and more impossible. Gotta get in there again tonight. I predict insomnia anyway." Aug 13, 2014 06:05PM

I expected something literary but this was like ... nonfiction about fads meets comedy meets scifi?? I liked it. It was a good casual read which is just what I needed. I will probably be reading more by this author.

“Words are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest hearts.”
Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind

William Shakespeare
“By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes.”
William Shakespeare, Macbeth

Haruki Murakami
“Whatever it is you're seeking won't come in the form you're expecting.”

Douglas Adams
“The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”
Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Sylvia Plath
“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited.”
Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath
