Jennifer Nielsen writes like a dream, and this is a grand story. I am far older than the target audience, and the big surprise in the plot was not a surprise to me, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the sequel.

I was not expecting the rawness of the language, but once the explicit rap lyrics were past, I settled in and enjoyed myself, frequently laughing to the point of choking -- which was really the only point of reading this book.
