Lorena Kendrick has grown up admiring her father, missing her mother, and loving her little sister. She's always been proud of her father's position as co-founder and co-leader of a very successful business. Now her pride in her father will lead her to stand toe-to-toe with Craig Cranston, a man she has never really liked, although he is the elder son of her father's business partner and closest friend. Oddly enough, though, she has always been very close friends with Craig's younger brother, Cole. Then, she stars receiving mysterious, annonymous letters- love letters, albeit very brief ones. She assumes they're from Cole, but are they?
Meanwhile, Craig Cranston begins to show that he's not the cold, caculating, heartless monster Lorena insists on seeing him as. In fact, there is a very soft, warm part of his very human heart that he declares belongs solely to Lorena. She doesn't believe him, however, and as readers will see, Craig Cranston is willing and able to do pretty much anything to prove that what he says is true.
