Waiting for Godot, by Samuel Beckett is one of my favorite plays of all time. This two-act play features two men waiting for someone they've never met and can't be sure even exists. He never comes, but their passions, discussions, and discoveries - of each other and themselves, not to mention life itself - are startling, interesting, and riveting. ]]>
Awesome play. Jean Paul Sartre is more existentialist than Camus and more human too. No Exit is a play about three equally boorish people in hell. They can't get along, but they are forced to live with each. And you'll love the furniture. A must read. ]]>
I have a hard time choosing which is the better novel - 1984 or Animal Farm. This novel by George Orwell uses animals on a farm to tell a story of political bullying and tyranny. One of the most quoted lines in literature, "We are all equal; some of us are more equal than others," comes from Animal Farm. ]]>
