          <body><![CDATA[There's also the fact that these characters ARE juvenile (teenagers) and limited in their perspective- until devastation strikes and forces them to grow up fast. For me, that's what gave the book its terrifying aspect. These were kids who shouldn't have been concerned about much more than recovering from a hangover.
