I slid into the skirt, all at once feeling the stirrings of another libido surge and was about to take matters into my own hands, but I fought the urge and looked for a clean thong. Lately, even commercials made me horny, and I had hard time keeping a dry pair of panties. I wouldn’t be able to concentrate at all if I went to the reading commando. Nuh uh. Even I had my limits, but the thought of sitting in the front row like Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct entered my mind, and instinctively, I crossed my legs, especially because some of the hottest erotica writers in the biz were going to read to me as I sat front row and center. Where was a fan when I needed it?

* * * *

Laura, the super fan, Laura, who always asked the fun questions, Laura, who always sat in the front row, Laura, who could slay me with just one smoldering look, Laura, whose silky blonde curls I‘d love to run my fingers through, Laura, who owned a sexy little skirt that showed off her devastating legs. Oh yeah, Laura who teased that she was old enough to be my mother. Damn me and my Mrs. Robinson complex, but she was perfect, and perfectly out of my league.
Our little game of bump and rub was quickly becoming more than a cock tease, and it dawned on me that I might actually have an orgasm in the back seat of a Bronco, surrounded by eight of my closest acquaintances, and without actually being touched by a woman I had lusted after only fruitlessly until this excruciating moment.
I shivered despite the warmth coming from the radiators; something about the modernity of all this equipment didn’t fit in with a late-seventeenth-century castle. On closer inspection, I saw that the mirrored wall was, in fact, a pair of sliding doors.
Did they lead to another room?

The temptation to take a peek behind the mirror was overwhelming. I felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland faced with a button that read “push me.” I placed one finger on the button, and the doors immediately slid apart with no more than a whisper.

Certain I was dreaming, I stepped into my fantasy world: a windowless cavern which, I guessed by the curve of the gray-stone walls, must form part of the tower. In the light from electric candles that flickered almost as eerily as the real thing, I drooled over the array of restraints which hung from the walls, each separated by filmy, red-silk drapes. A spanking stool and a swing stood ready for use in the middle of the room, a St. Andrews Cross set into an alcove to one side, and, the pièce de résistance, a black wrought-iron, four-poster bed dressed in red and black silk on a dais at the far end.

Oh joy! I could hardly believe my luck stumbling into this pleasure palace. My pussy clenched as my imagination ran riot with various erotic scenarios; with the right mistress to exact punishment, this discovery could lead to a whole lot of fun. Hold it. The sensible part of my brain took over. What was all this stuff doing in a remote Scottish castle? Who apart from Cassie Stuart lives and plays here?

I fingered one of the spaghetti-string floggers lined up on the table with a host of whips, masks, and other…

“Ah, I see you discovered my playroom.”
This is a novel I'm currently editing -- and I'm really enjoying the plot. It's contemporary with dashes of Celtic magic and a necklace that is more than just a mere heirloom. Jordan is Ian Grey's bodyguard, a strong woman, and Ian is rich and powerful. Though the two main characters are imposing, they tend to blend wonderfully together.

    			  Daniella Rolfe was the last of The First vampires, although there were many of her kin still left roaming the world feeding on humans to stay alive. When Daniella's penthouse is burglarized and officer Aiden Blackmore is assigned to the case, Daniella fears she may not be able to keep from breaking the vow she promised herself centuries ago. From the moment she looks into his hypnotic green eyes, she knew he could be her downfall.

Aiden was on assignment as Daniella's bodyguard until the murders in the city either came to an end or the murderer was found. He thought it strange the initials in each male victims back were the same as hers, but even more frightening was seeing his name scrawled across the chest of the latest victim, Daniella's latest lover.

Daniella and Aiden both dream erotically of one another, although the dreams seem too real. Want and need burn like fire between the two, but Daniella knows not to mess with a man of authority, and Aiden only knows that he must possess her. Love silently builds quickly, but with the slash of a knife, it can be taken away just as fast.

Daniella vowed to never make another of her kind, but when Aiden came into her life, he seemed to shatter all the guards she had constructed around her heart. One by one, the shards begin to fall and blood will be spilled. Will Daniella follow her heart, or will she let the only love she'd ever known slip away?

Dawné Dominique is captivating, and her writing style is truly unique. I felt the characters were strong and sophisticated by the use of words penned by Ms. Dominique. A tale of romance and the vividly erotic scenes painted in this novella made the story come to life. I was entranced while reading Diary of Daniella Rolfe, and I can assure you this read will not disappoint.

5 Hearts (Crystal's Reviews)
