Sera's favorite quotes
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

"[t]he child must have a valuable thing which is called imagination. The child must have a secret world in which live things that never were. It is necessary that she believe. She must start out by believing things too ugly for living in, the child can reach back and live in her imagination."

"There is here, what is not in the old country. In spite of hard, unfamiliar things, there is here - hope. In the old country, a man can be no more than his father, providing he works hard. If his father was a carpenter, he may be a carpenter. He many not be a teacher or a priest. He may rise - but only to his father's state. In the old country, a man is given to the past. Here he belongs to the future. In this land, he may be what he will, if he has the good heart and the way of working honestly at the right things."

Well, if you are a CIA operative, you'll fit right in with Meghan and me! We're former black ops, didn't you know?
Ooohhhh...this is so exciting! If it has you wearing a trenchcoat and sunglasses I'm going to laugh out loud.
I know! I was kind of surprised that he even responded because I hadn't asked him a question. I like that they brought someone of his caliber to discuss his books. It makes it feel like this is a legitimate site rather than just a fan forum. (Not that there is anything wrong with fan forums.) SO cool!
Hey, Meghan! Remember that you promised not to hold my Eagles against me. I'm glad that you are back, and thanks for being the first to comment on my profile :)
How could I have missed that you were an Eagles fan?! Oy with the poodles! heh Anyway, just wanted to say hi.
