Description:
First poem written after suddenly losing my beloved dog, Ganymede. He died in my arms on the morning of his 9th birthday, he was my world so I was heartbroken. I understand now, nearly 8 years on, that although I eventually managed to recover from the shock of losing him, the waves of grief are endless, they just come and go with the tides.
