A fantastic book that extols the good in people and condemns corruption of organized religion. My favorite moment is when the text condemns using the Bible and the teachings of Jesus as political fodder - cause lord knows we hear enough of that.

Veronica Roth
“His hand touches my waist, steadies me. The touch sends a shock through my body, and all my insides burn like his fingers ignited them. I pull close to him, pressing my body against his, and lift my head to kiss him.”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent

David Levithan
“his train could've gotten stuck in a tunnel or something. it's not unheard of. he's coming from ohio after all. people in ohio are late all the time.”
David Levithan, Will Grayson, Will Grayson

Ann Brashares
“Sometimes I see it as a tricky mountain pass beween two valleys. Other times, it's like perilous straits connecting two lands. Partly it's the fear of the trip itself, I think, but partly it's the fear that won't be able to get back. I'll turn around and the cloud will have settled over the mountaintop. Or the waters will have risen and shifted, and there will be no way home.”
Ann Brashares, The Last Summer
